Say hello to Mr Elvic and his ginger cat Benson. Mr Elvic has a workshop on Cinder Lane in the town of Lud, where strange and wonderful things happen. Having discovered a box of weird shaped pipes with Wishing Machine written on it, Mr Elvic set about repairing it. To his astonishment, the machine worked perfectly. With his first wish, he gave the lovable ginger cat the power of speech. Benson is very mischievous, and it not long before they find themselves in all sorts of scrapes as they use the secret Wishing Machine to help their friends and neighbours. Will other people find out about the machine, and how reliable is a talking cat at keeping secrets?
