I was educated in Louth.  Then I attended Eaton Hall Teacher training college near Retford.  It was here that I met my husband Richard – although we were not to marry until some 30 years later……….that is another story!

I taught in a number of Nursery and Infant schools in and around Grimsby for 27 years until I left teaching in the year 2000.  I married Richard in 2002 and now live in the the small village of Fotherby near Louth in Lincolnshire.

It has always been my ambition to write a book ever since a school teacher said to me “Susan if you don’t write a book one day I shall eat my hat” -  that was over 40 years ago ………just shows, its never too late to do the things you really want to

I grew up with my parents and younger brother Roy in the bustling market town of Louth which nestles at the foot of the Lincolnshire Wolds.  Louth is famous for its landmark – St. James’ Church, which dates back to the 12th century.  Its breathtaking spire is a major feature in Benson and the Wishing Machine.
